Extraordinary men doing amazing things...

We hosted a benefit for Haiti victims, raising $30,000. This is one of many. I have helped raise money in every way possible. Please find it in your heart to help. Keep February 5th open for another fundraiser with Wyclef Jean's family, Andy Hilfiger's family, The American Red Cross and our special performances, including Mike Fredo.
Peter Paul was instrumental in my career almost 13 years ago, involved in making me the main model for Tommy Hilfiger. Doing campaigns, shows and appearances with big names such as Britney Spears, Beyoncé, Enrique Inglesias and many others. We celebrated his birthday with other worldwide DJ's, including Cassidy, M.O.S. and Reach with the Ocean's Eleven theme...
Look out for our mention in the new issue of Star Magazine with Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie on the cover! Page 35, under sightings. Fridays and Saturdays are the best days to buy tables at our new venue, Amnesia NYC. Check it out... Here I am with Washington Redskins #11, Devin Thomas talking about winning a Super Bowl soon and Tyson Beckford discussing his Directorial debut.

Gossip Guy. Out and about...

As I was passing by my talent agency the other day on Broadway, I bumped into Penn Badgley, who plays caffeine addicted Poet, Dan Humphrey on the hit CW show, Gossip Girl. Him and his girlfriend, Blake Lively went on a retreat to Thailand not too long ago. I informed him that I started a mens blog and wanted to ask him a few questions; no pressure. Penn replied by asking if it was only for my blog, because he's a pretty private person. I assured him it was only information I would post personally.

JH: Hey dude, haven't seen you since my event I hosted a few weeks ago. How ya been?

PB: Yeah bro, that was a cool party. I'm just trying to stay warm. Focusing on acting and music.

JH: It's freezing out here, hope you have enough layers on and you're staying hydrated. Funny how recently at that fashion event, you didn't recognize who John Galliano was.

PB: I'm still getting familiar with the fashion world and didn't realize he was a huge designer.

JH: Looking forward to seeing what you'll wear next month, in February for Fashion Week.

PB: (Smirks) Let's see, I like to keep it simple...

JH: (Shrugs) Ok cool, I'll catch up with you then...

* I'll keep you guys posted on celebs and events leading up to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

Before running into Penn, I was asked to be interviewed for a web show, wanting to know my sleep patterns. Well, I am always working and hardly ever sleep. There's way too much work to be done! I used to sleep walk when I was a kid. But guys, I must say this...in order to limit the amount of nightmares you have, don't eat heavy meals before going to bed. Trust me, have you ever had one of those dreams where you were falling off a skyscraper, straight out of that opening scene of the Mad Men TV show? That's some scary shit.

I did some research and found that under the cover of night, sleep floods your veins with age-defying human growth hormone. Sleep raises an army of T cells and sends them into battle against colds and infection. Sleep resets the appetite controls that tell you to not hit the turn signal when you pass a McDonald's. And, of course, sleep helps you above the neck as well as below the belt.

Sleep stabilizes your waking brain, makes you more alert, and allows you to process information faster. It helps you remember things and consolidate those memories. You won't get that from Red Bull.

Man, it's been a long week of work, one day of rest (sort of) and more to get done this week. I have to shoot a catalog all day tomorrow, so signing off for now and catchin' some Zzzz's...

A few good men...well dressed on the streets...

Nelson walking Valla. He is a man of many talents; acting, performing, and branding a show, DogoMan. Favorite Designer at the moment: A mix of everything with Club Monaco thrown in.

Duke, a former male model, looking dapper. Caught him carrying a one of a kind Louis Vuitton duffle bag. Favorite Designer at the moment: Tom Ford

While roaming around the city in between meetings, I met up with Ramon. He's a Fashion Consultant who likes hanging out on the Lower Eastside. Favorite Designer at the moment: Rag & Bone

Mr. President, A Leader In Style

Wow, our President is taking over the male modeling world in this WEATHERPROOF ad; taken at The Great Wall of China. Wonder how much he got paid for this? Asia is where all the money's at...

Now every guy can get some...

These Entourage billboards are everywhere; even in Times Square, there's a bunch of 'em. Adrian Grenier was named after my acting coach in LA, Vincent Chase. Mark Wahlberg paid homage to the legend and I asked Donnie Wahlberg at his birthday this past Summer at Mohegan Sun if it were true. He said yes. The Boston natives (characters are supposed to be from my hometown in Queens, NY) have the hit TV show with hot chicks, huge mansions and fast cars, on Spike TV, airing from the beginning, January 12, 2010.

Happy New Year. It's 2010 men... Make it count

Have you guys seen Rihanna on the cover of Gentlemen's Quaterly yet? Well, here it is; I must say, when I first saw this nearly nude pic, I had to do a double take. There have been many women not wearing much on GQ covers in the past, but there's something sexy about this that takes the cake. Personally, I like ladies to look innocent, but have that bad side too. Maybe I'll grow out of it one day, so until then, no goody two shoes. LoL. The article is interesting, touching on her new album, plans for 2010 and domestic violence (which is not cool; don't hit women).
